Overview
- Tamil Nadu and Gujarat will complete enumeration by December 14 with draft rolls due December 19, while Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Andaman & Nicobar move to December 18 and December 23 respectively.
- Uttar Pradesh receives the longest extension, shifting enumeration to December 26 and draft rolls to December 31, with the state CEO saying the final roll will publish on February 28, 2026.
- West Bengal gets no extension, with the draft roll still slated for December 16 and ECI data reporting 5,752,207 entries flagged as excludable across deceased, shifted and untraceable categories.
- For Goa, Puducherry, Lakshadweep and Rajasthan, the enumeration period ends now with draft rolls scheduled for December 16, while Kerala’s earlier revised timeline sets draft publication on December 23.
- The ECI said the revisions were made on requests from state CEOs to support re-verification efforts, with January 1, 2026 as the qualifying date, and urged eligible voters to use Form 6 for inclusion.
