• The facility is notified under Section 60(c) of the Representation of the People Act, 1951.
• Approved seniors and PwD electors will have their postal ballots collected at home by polling teams.
• Staff in designated essential services, including authorised media on poll duty, can seek postal ballots through departmental nodal officers.
• Service voters will receive ballots electronically via ETPBS once the list of candidates is finalised and will not incur postal charges.
• Returning and district election officers have been instructed to brief political parties and candidates on the provisions to ensure smooth rollout.
