Overview
- District Election Officers ran the process between October 9 and 16 using the EVM Management System in the presence of recognised party representatives.
- The exercise covered Budgam and Nagrota in Jammu and Kashmir, Nuapada in Odisha, Ghatsila (ST) in Jharkhand, Jubilee Hills in Telangana, Tarn Taran in Punjab, Dampa (ST) in Mizoram, and Anta in Rajasthan.
- Constituency-wise figures were published, including Budgam with 276 Ballot Units, 276 Control Units and 276 VVPATs for 173 polling stations, and Jubilee Hills with 569 BUs and 610 VVPATs for 407 polling stations.
- Lists of randomised machines were shared with representatives of recognised national and state parties at district headquarters.
- All EVMs and VVPATs have been secured in designated strong rooms under joint supervision pending further pre-poll steps.
