Overview

  • Strategic partnerships were sealed with Tech Titans for London Spirit, Knighthead Capital for Birmingham Phoenix, RPSG Group for Manchester Originals, Sun TV Network for Northern Superchargers, GMR Group for Southern Brave and Washington Freedom for Welsh Fire.
  • A February auction valued all eight franchises at £975 million and the six completed sales have generated £520 million in proceeds.
  • More than £500 million of the windfall will be channelled to professional county clubs and grassroots cricket initiatives across England and Wales.
  • Investors will officially take operational control of their franchises on October 1, 2025, partnering with host clubs under the terms of the deals.
  • The ECB will retain full ownership of The Hundred and maintain authority over its regulations, structure and annual playing window.
