• About 500 CAPF companies have already been pre-positioned in Bihar as part of an initial deployment.
• Bihar sought roughly 1,800 companies, while the Election Commission and the Home Ministry are assessing a ceiling closer to 1,200.
• A potential deployment of up to 1,200 companies would translate to nearly one lakh personnel based on typical company strength.
• Most units are expected from the Sashastra Seema Bal, with additional companies from the CRPF, BSF, ITBP, CISF and RPF.
