Overview
- First‑level checking of EVMs and VVPATs is in progress in Dhubri and Silchar from December 11 to 23 under the Assam CEO’s schedule and ECI SOPs.
- At the Dhubri warehouse in Gauripur, 1,939 ballot units, 2,094 control units and 2,094 VVPATs are undergoing mandatory technical verification.
- The Additional District Commissioner (Election) is supervising Dhubri’s process with 10 authorised ECIL engineers, with mock polls planned on 5% of cleared machines in the presence of party representatives.
