Eaton Fire Threatens Mount Wilson Observatory and Critical LA Communication Towers

At least five people have died, with numerous injuries reported, and more than 1,000 homes and businesses have been destroyed across Pasadena, Altadena, and surrounding areas.
Over 100,000 residents have been ordered to evacuate as multiple wildfires, including the Eaton Fire, rage across Los Angeles County.
Firefighters have placed fire retardant around the observatory and communication towers, but the loss of power at the site has limited communication and monitoring capabilities.
