East Palo Alto School Employee Arrested for Alleged Lewd Acts with Minor

James Edward Fitch, 54, was arrested on September 16 by East Palo Alto Police in coordination with the U.S. Marshals Service.
Fitch, a campus relations coordinator at Cesar Chavez Ravenswood Middle School, is accused of committing lewd acts with a minor at his place of employment.
The investigation began on September 6, leading to probable cause for Fitch's arrest on three felony counts of lewd acts with a minor and one felony count of enticing a minor for lewd acts.
The Ravenswood City School District has placed Fitch on administrative leave, barring him from district campuses and restricting his access to students.
The district and police are urging anyone with information related to the case to come forward and are offering support services to affected students and families.
