Overview

• Snaresbrook Crown Court sentenced Vruj Patel, 26, to 22 years in prison and placed him on the sex offenders’ register for life.
• His brother, Kishan Patel, 31, received 15 months for indecent images of children and a 10‑year Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
• The investigation began after Greater Manchester Police alerted the Met to videos found on a device sent for repair, leading to an arrest on 1 February.
• Offences include rape of a child under 13, assault by penetration, causing a child to engage in sexual activity, rape of a woman over 16, sexual assault by penetration, voyeurism and possession of indecent images.
