Overview
- OPP East Region responded to more than 120 collisions between noon and 4 p.m. Sunday, reported no fatalities, and urged drivers to slow down and increase following distance.
- At least a dozen crashes occurred on the Kingston-area Highway 401, with temporary lane closures also reported on Highways 401 and 417.
- In the Greater Toronto Area, OPP said officers had handled about 220 crashes by Monday morning, with reports of roughly 120 vehicles stuck in the snow.
- Toronto recorded 9.8 centimetres at Pearson Airport, a Nov. 9 record, while Hamilton saw about 16 centimetres and Ottawa 11.7 centimetres, according to Environment Canada.
- Snow squall warnings covered parts of southern Ontario, with snow-belt areas possibly receiving 15 to 30 centimetres and the London region expecting around 5 centimetres with gusts up to 50 km/h.
