Early Voting Opens Across Central Texas for Nov. 4 Election

Mail-ballot applications are due Oct. 24 with officials expecting light turnout.

Overview

  • Travis County’s early voting runs Oct. 20–31, with standard hours and some sites open until 10 p.m. on the final two days.
  • Williamson County offers countywide early voting through Oct. 31 at multiple sites, with hours expanding to 7 a.m.–7 p.m. during the final weekday stretch.
  • Texas requires an approved photo ID to vote in person, though voters without one can sign a Reasonable Impediment Declaration and present an accepted alternative document.
  • Vote-by-mail is limited to eligible groups; applications must be submitted by Oct. 24, and completed ballots must be postmarked by Nov. 4 and received by 5 p.m. Nov. 5 or hand-delivered by the voter on Election Day with ID.
