Overview

• Traffic was suspended on the Jammu–Srinagar highway after landslides and shooting stones in the Ramban sector, while the Srinagar–Leh route, Mughal Road and Sinthan Top were shut due to snow.
• Fresh snow covered higher reaches including Gulmarg, Sonamarg, Pahalgam, Zojila, Razdan Pass and Peer Ki Gali, as lower valleys reported heavy rain and sharp temperature drops.
• Temperatures fell to sub-zero in spots, with Gulmarg at −0.4°C and Zojila near −8°C, and Himachal’s Keylong near 0°C, signalling an early winter chill across high altitudes.
