Overview
- Light to moderate rain was recorded across most of Himachal Pradesh in the past 24 hours, with fresh snowfall in higher reaches at Gondla (5 cm), Hansa (5 cm) and Keylong (4 cm).
- Temperatures dropped below normal by 2–6°C at many stations, and Keylong logged the state's lowest minimum at 0.1°C.
- The weather office issued orange alerts for heavy to very heavy rain in Chamba, Kangra, Kullu and Mandi and for heavy rain or snow in Lahaul-Spiti on Monday, followed by yellow alerts for select districts on Tuesday.
- Reported 24-hour rainfall totals included Guler (4 cm), Nagrota Surian (4 cm), Bharwain (4 cm) and Dehra Gopipur (3 cm), with thunderstorms and 41–57 km/h gusts at sites such as Jot, Murari Devi, Narkanda, Kufri, Bajaura, Reckong Peo, Tabo and Kotkhai.
- In Shimla, heavy rain drenched The Ridge, Mall Road and Kufri, slowing traffic and reducing market footfall even as many visitors stayed indoors at hotels.
