Overview

• London Fire Brigade deployed about 100 firefighters and 15 engines to the nine-storey Helios Building in White City shortly after 3am.
• Flames have affected a restaurant, external decking and ducting on upper levels, and an unknown number of flats may also be impacted.
• Two 32-metre turntable ladders are operating as water towers and the brigade’s drone team is providing aerial situational awareness.
• Nearby buildings were evacuated and a rest centre was set up for displaced residents, while Wood Lane remains closed with bus diversions.
• London Ambulance Service treated one person at the scene and discharged them, and investigators have not yet determined the cause.
