EAGLE Raids Hyderabad School, Uncovers Alprazolam Lab and Arrests Director

Investigators say the school director ran a nine-month operation supplying toddy shops.

Overview

  • Officers seized about 3.5 kg of finished alprazolam, 4.3 kg of semi-finished product, ₹21 lakh in cash, and raw materials during the raid.
  • The rear portion of Medha School was converted into a lab across six rooms while a classroom operated in another room.
  • The accused was identified as school director Malela Jaya Prakash Goud, 39, whom EAGLE says used the campus to conceal production for about nine months.
  • Investigators report the drug was supplied in powder and liquid form to toddy depots, including in Boothpur, Mahabubnagar, to be mixed with toddy.
