EAGLE Disrupts OdishaUttar Pradesh Ganja Pipeline, Seizes 847 kg in Telangana

EAGLE’s Shamshabad operation on August 5 triggered NDPS Act financial probes after seizing 847 kg of ganja

Overview

  • Authorities intercepted a Uttar Pradesh-registered SUV at Shamshabad and recovered 847 kg of high-grade ganja concealed in 26 HDPE bags along with a sword, two mobile phones and the vehicle
  • Couriers Khilla Dhana and Rajendar Bajing of Malkangiri district were arrested and identified as habitual offenders in the interstate trafficking network
  • Investigators traced the syndicate’s chain to absconding coordinator Ramesh Sukri and his associate Jagadish Kuldeep, who sourced ganja from cultivators Shibo alias Shiba and Basu
  • The network relied on uniform HDPE packaging with odour-masking brown-tape wraps, disposable feature phones with fresh SIMs and bypass routes on Bengaluru NH and ORR to evade checkpoints
  • Teams are now seeking five fugitive operatives and have launched financial investigations and asset attachment proceedings under the NDPS Act and BNSS
