EA Says Javelin Kept 98% of Battlefield 6 Launch Matches Cheater-Free

EA credits its Javelin kernel-level system plus stricter PC security for sharply lowering cheater impact, with more safeguards planned.

Overview

  • Battlefield Studios reports a 2% Match Infection Rate during launch week, with the first month mostly fluctuating between 2% and 3%.
  • EA says Javelin has blocked 2.39 million cheating attempts since release, including over 367,000 during launch weekend and more than 1.2 million during the open beta.
  • The team tracks 190 cheat programs, hardware and vendors, and reports that 183 of them have suffered failures, posted detection notices, or gone offline.
  • Secure Boot adoption rose to 92.5% by the end of the beta, though about 1.5% of PC players cannot enable it and therefore cannot launch the game.
  • Planned steps include exploring OS features such as HVCI and VBS, targeting cheating hardware like Cronus-style devices, and improving reporting and Javelin updates.
