- Maxis released the reveal trailer and confirmed an October 2, 2025 launch on PC, PlayStation 4/5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S, with early-purchase bonus items available through November 13.
- The new world, Gibbi Point, includes three neighborhoods—Wanderwood Wilds, Crystal Valley, and Jellyfish Junction—plus a getaway system with pre-built retreats such as Camp Gibbi Gibbi, Love Highland, and a spa-style Jellyfish Junction venue, all of which can be customized or built from scratch.
- Imaginary Friends return from The Sims 3 as four selectable dolls with personalities that include Goofball, Creative, Competitive, and Evil.
- Child-focused gameplay expands with formative childhood moments, new traits and sentiments, modular playgrounds, and activities like archery, diving, papercraft, and hide-and-seek.
- Adult play adds a Park Worker career with Camp Counselor and Park Ranger branches, new fitness gear and water interactions including Water WooHoo, plus Gallery-enabled custom venues; a gameplay deep dive and developer Q&As are planned before release.
