EA Releases Surprise 'Road to Battlefield 6' Update for Battlefield 2042 With Free Cross-Game Rewards

Overview

  • The free 60‑tier Road to Battlefield 6 Battle Pass runs August 18 to October 7, offering 50+ Battlefield 2042 items and more than 20 exclusive rewards for Battlefield 6.
  • BF6 unlocks drop at tiers 8, 19, 30, 40, 49, and 60 and will be auto‑granted in BF6 when you log in with the same EA account before March 31, 2026.
  • Update 9.2 brings a reimagined Iwo Jima map to 2042, alongside bug fixes and gameplay balance adjustments.
  • New hardware includes the KFS2000 assault rifle, the Lynx sniper rifle, and two attack jets: the A‑10 Warthog and SU‑25TM Frogfoot.
  • Players who joined the BF6 open beta receive immediate access to the Lynx in 2042, with EA indicating others can obtain it later.
