EA Launches 'Road to Battlefield 6' Update for Battlefield 2042 With Free Cross-Game Rewards

Overview

  • Update 9.2 is live, adding a reimagined Iwo Jima map, the KFS2000 assault rifle and Lynx sniper rifle, and A‑10 Warthog and SU‑25TM attack jets.
  • A free 60‑tier Battle Pass runs August 18–October 7, delivering over 50 Battlefield 2042 items plus more than 20 exclusive Battlefield 6 rewards at tiers 8, 19, 30, 40, 49, and 60.
  • Battlefield 6 open‑beta participants receive the Lynx in 2042 immediately, with EA saying others will be able to earn it later.
  • Multiple reports note the Battlefield 6 items from this pass will only be obtainable via 2042 progression and will not be purchasable at launch.
  • Rewards earned now will auto‑grant in Battlefield 6 when you log in with the same EA account before March 31, 2026, alongside patch bug fixes and balance changes.
