EA Expands Skate Playtesting to Consoles
The long-awaited skateboarding game now allows Xbox and PlayStation players to participate in its closed beta as development continues ahead of an early access launch.
- Electronic Arts has opened closed playtesting for Skate to Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS5, and PS4, following over two years of PC-only playtests.
- Players can register for the Skate Insider Playtesting program, with invitations being sent out incrementally to provide feedback during development.
- Skate is a free-to-play revival of the beloved skateboarding series, developed by Vancouver-based studio Full Circle, which includes veterans from the original trilogy.
- The game will feature cross-play and cross-progression across platforms, with a mobile version also in development for future release.
- No official release date has been set, but Skate is expected to launch in early access later this year, with rewards planned for playtest participants.
