EA Beats Bookings Estimates on 'Battlefield 6' Surge as Go-Private Deal Nears

The company paused its usual investor call ahead of a $55 billion sale expected to close between April and June.

Overview

  • EA reported fiscal third-quarter net bookings of $3.05 billion, topping the $2.86 billion consensus from LSEG.
  • Revenue reached $1.9 billion, with net income at $88 million versus $293 million a year earlier; net cash totaled $1.83 billion.
  • The majority of bookings came from Battlefield 6, which set franchise engagement records and was 2025's best-selling game according to Circana.
  • Live-service titles also grew, with Apex Legends net bookings up double digits year over year and EA Sports FC up high single digits excluding deluxe timing effects.
  • EA did not hold an earnings call as it advances a $55 billion take-private by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund, Silver Lake and Affinity Partners, which it says remains on track for April to June.
