EA Announces New Battlefield Game Returning to Modern Setting

The upcoming Battlefield aims to recapture the essence of Battlefield 3 and 4 with smaller player counts and classic gameplay elements.

Vince Zampella, head of Respawn Entertainment, confirms the new Battlefield will focus on the modern era, similar to Battlefield 3 and 4.
The game will move away from the 128-player format of Battlefield 2042, opting for more focused and dense play spaces.
Specialist system from Battlefield 2042 will be replaced with traditional class-based gameplay.
Several EA studios, including DICE, Motive, Ripple Effect, and Criterion, are collaborating on the project.
More details and community engagement programs are expected to be announced next year.
