E! News to End Nightly Broadcast on September 25

Versant is refocusing the long-running entertainment news program as a digital-first brand following surging social media engagement

Overview

  • Versant informed about 20 E! News staff on July 24 that the 11:30 p.m. half-hour will air new episodes through September 25 before concluding
  • This marks the first major programming move by Versant since its spin-off from NBCUniversal earlier in 2025
  • E! News digital offerings—including The Rundown on Snapchat, Hot Goss on Instagram and RE!CAP on YouTube—will continue after 2024 social viewership jumped roughly 50 percent year-over-year
  • Hosts Keltie Knight and Justin Sylvester and other correspondents are expected to transition into roles within Versant in yet-to-be-determined capacities
  • Other E! linear series and red carpet coverage will remain on the network under the new Versant cable portfolio
