Overview
- Roundabout Theatre Company and New York Theatre Workshop announced a joint production directed by Dustin Wills with previews beginning January 21, 2027, an official opening on February 11, 2027, and a limited run through March 21, 2027 at the Laura Pels Theatre.
- Producers named a six‑member principal cast featuring Kyle Beltran as Angler, Florencia Lozano as Tomlin, Annie McNamara as Maryanne, Marquis Kofi Rodriguez as Noland, Blake Russell as The Shepherd, and Pete Simpson as Byron.
- The play follows a group hunting a creature that kills a loved one and erases that person from memory, using the premise to examine grief, loyalty, and the cost of trying to reclaim loss.
- Key creative and design personnel beyond director Dustin Wills remain to be announced as pre‑production continues through autumn and winter ahead of previews.
- The co‑production pairs Roundabout’s Off‑Broadway season resources with New York Theatre Workshop’s development track record, which positions the limited engagement as a testing ground for the play’s future life and audience reception.
