Dying Light Patch Adds Enemy Surrender and Finishers as DL2 Kicks Off Halloween, Pauses Console Co-op

Techland leans on Halloween events, a crossover, plus targeted fixes to sustain play.

Overview

  • Techland released Dying Light: The Beast update 1.003 (patch 1.3) on October 30 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, adding a human-enemy surrender response to aimed firearms and nine new weapon finishers.
  • Week 3 of the Call of the Beast community event runs October 30–November 6 with the Sharpshooter challenge that unlocks the Marksman car skin at 10 million accurate shots and the Bullseye rifle at 20 million.
  • A PUBG Mobile crossover goes live October 31 with the Skillet quest, an Airdrop Finder car skin, themed melee weapons, the Marked Man outfit with gameplay bonuses, and a Battleground Keychain charm, available through November 21.
  • Dying Light 2’s Halloween Showdown event is active October 30–November 20, featuring themed enemies, Halloween Candies, week-by-week faction competitions, rewards via vendor Baka, and Tower Raid variations and modifiers.
  • Techland temporarily disabled Dying Light 2 co-op on PlayStation and Xbox due to a multiplayer issue, and a follow-up October 31 update added an extra community candy goal and addressed a PC save-file problem with an Epic Games hotfix.
