Overview
- Payments will not be brought forward this month, unlike August when the bank holiday altered some dates.
- Benefits covered include Universal Credit, state pension, Pension Credit, PIP, DLA, Child Benefit, Carer's Allowance, Attendance Allowance, Employment Support Allowance, Income Support and Jobseeker's Allowance.
- State pension continues to be paid every four weeks, with the weekday set by the last two digits of the National Insurance number: 00–19 Monday, 20–39 Tuesday, 40–59 Wednesday, 60–79 Thursday, 80–99 Friday.
- April upratings remain in place, with working‑age benefits up 1.7% and the state pension up 4.1%.
- The DWP is continuing migration to Universal Credit by January 2026, and policy changes will raise UC rates from next April while cutting the health element for new claimants to £50 a month.
