Overview
- The one-off £10 bonus will be paid during the first full week of December, which falls between December 1 and 7 this year.
- To qualify, you must be present or ordinarily resident in the UK, Channel Islands, Isle of Man or Gibraltar during the qualifying week and receive at least one specified benefit such as PIP, Attendance Allowance, Carer’s Allowance or the State Pension.
- Universal Credit on its own does not qualify for the bonus, so recipients must also be in receipt of one of the listed payments.
- No application is required, and the payment will appear as “DWP XB”; those who believe they are eligible but do not receive it should contact Jobcentre Plus or The Pension Service.
- The bonus is tax-free, does not affect other benefit entitlements and has remained at £10 since its introduction in the 1970s.
