Overview
- The DWP has set a 3.8% uprating for PIP, DLA and Attendance Allowance from April 2026, taking PIP to £30.30–£194.60 a week (£121.20–£778.40 every four weeks).
- Attendance Allowance will pay £76.70 at the lower rate and £114.60 at the higher rate, while Carer’s Allowance rises to £86.45 a week and DLA rates increase in line with the 3.8% uplift.
- Annual uprating letters will be sent to all PIP, DLA and Attendance Allowance claimants before the new rates take effect, and recipients are advised to keep them as proof of entitlement.
- Social Security Scotland will set 2026/27 rates for ADP, PADP and other devolved benefits at the January 13 Budget, with expectations they will align to prevent a two‑tier system.
- Coverage highlights potential income gains, including reports of around £1,423 a month when combining the full State Pension with Attendance Allowance and up to £1,149.94 a month for some Universal Credit claimants who also receive the highest PIP or ADP awards.
