Overview
- The bonus will be paid into bank accounts in the first week of December and will show on statements as 'DWP XB'.
- Claimants must be present or ordinarily resident in the UK, Channel Islands, Isle of Man or Gibraltar during the qualifying week.
- Eligibility requires receiving at least one of the listed benefits such as PIP, DLA, Attendance Allowance or the State Pension, and Universal Credit on its own does not qualify.
- Married and civil partners each receive the payment if both qualify, with limited circumstances allowing a partner to get it based on age, residency and entitlement rules.
- If the payment does not arrive, claimants are advised to contact Jobcentre Plus or the Pension Service, and the £10 amount does not affect other benefits and has remained unchanged for decades.
