Overview

• Delta Company’s “Strong Dawg” Challenge saw four platoons of ten Soldiers each compete in timed stations on Barton Field at Fort Gordon on Aug. 9.
• Staff Sgt. David Crews led 2nd Platoon to victory after completing sandbag carries, burpees, T-pushups and squad squats in the fastest overall time.
• Participation was voluntary and intended to foster esprit de corps, with dozens of Soldiers cheering on their fellow competitors.
• On Aug. 12, the Defense Visual Information Distribution Service published official photos by Laura Levering documenting the finish line, celebration and award ceremony.
