Overview
- On Thursday the Health and Youth Care Inspectorate (IGJ) imposed a LOOB, an immediate ban on clinical work, and the court refused the GP's request to lift it with the matter set for the Regionaal Tuchtcollege within eight weeks.
- A psychiatrist commissioned by the IGJ concluded in late 2025 that the GP has a serious alcohol use disorder and another psychiatric condition that undermine her fitness to provide safe care.
- Investigators documented multiple incidents over 2023–2026 including a colleague detecting alcohol and a 3.3‰ measurement at the practice, nearly empty wine bottles found in her workspace, and the GP being found intoxicated on the back seat of her car on the day a planned euthanasia was cancelled.
