DUSU Election Results 2024 to Be Announced Today After Delays

Delhi University vote counting begins following court-mandated cleanup of defaced properties during campaign.

The Delhi University Students' Union (DUSU) election results, delayed by nearly two months, are set to be declared today by 4 PM.
The delay was caused by a Delhi High Court order requiring the removal of public property defacement linked to the election campaign.
Twenty-one candidates are competing for four central panel positions, with major contenders from ABVP, NSUI, and a Left alliance of AISA and SFI.
Candidates were required to sign affidavits pledging not to use firecrackers, loudspeakers, or organize rallies after the results to ensure compliance with election rules.
Vote counting began this morning at the North Campus Conference Centre, with strict measures in place to adhere to court directives.
