Durant’s Steakhouse Sets Dec. 17 Reopening After Mastro-Led Restoration

The Mastro family unveiled a careful restoration preserving Durant’s look, pairing classic design with modern upgrades.

  • Owners kept the original layout and kitchen entrance, refreshed the red booths and interior, refurbished vintage neon signs, and repainted the exterior pink.
  • Many staples return, including the porterhouse for two and prime rib, alongside new offerings such as Lobster Thermador, Crispy Veal Parmesan, caviar service, and rigatoni with vodka sauce.
  • The restaurant will honor the famous lifetime dessert tokens, and the longtime porterhouse challenge plaques have been restored.
  • Durant’s private dining room will reopen for the first time since the 1970s.
