Overview

  • Joel Bylos announced 'Partial Warfare (PvE)' zones that let players gather T6 resources and use testing stations without facing unwanted PvP.
  • Key high-stakes areas such as Landsraad control points, shipwrecks and large spice fields will remain open to PvP to preserve risk-reward dynamics.
  • Funcom plans further tweaks to Deep Desert mechanics, including ground-battle optimizations, scout ornithopter balance, respawn timers, vehicle storage and hand scanner adjustments.
  • The Landsraad system is being overhauled to curb resource stockpiling and introduce micro rewards tailored to solo and small-group players.
  • Community response is split between those welcoming easier access to endgame content and purists concerned that the changes dilute the Deep Desert’s original challenge.
