Dune: Awakening MMO Set for May 2025 Launch with Character Creator Available Now

Dune: Awakening, Funcom's MMO survival game inspired by the Dune universe, will officially launch on May 20, 2025.
Players can now access the Character Creator and Benchmark Mode, allowing them to design their avatars and test game performance prior to release.
The game explores an alternate timeline where Paul Atreides was never born, leading to significant changes in the Dune storyline, including the survival of Duke Leto and the absence of the Fremen at launch.
Gameplay features include base-building, resource gathering, PvE and PvP combat, and spice harvesting, with sandworms posing a persistent threat in the desert environment.
Preorder bonuses include exclusive items like the Terrarium of Muad’Dib and a Frameblade knife skin, while the game will be available on Steam for $50.
