Overview

  • Chapter 2 is a free update on September 10 for all owners, continuing the story and adding character re-customization, new hairstyles and tattoos, new open-world contracts, more dynamic encounters, and new armor archetypes.
  • The Lost Harvest arrives the same day as a $12.99 DLC with a standalone storyline, the Treadwheel vehicle, three Imperial Testing Stations, new building pieces and base decorations, four weapon skins, two armor skins, and a thumper emote; it is included with the Season Pass.
  • A ten-hour free trial is live through August 24, letting newcomers play in Hagga Basin on dedicated trial servers with no cross-play with full-game owners.
  • Most progress from the trial transfers to the full game—including story advancement, character level, skills, tech points, and backpack items—while bases and vehicles must be rebuilt and Solaris above 10,000 is forfeited; some upgrade cosmetics are granted on purchase.
  • The Escapist reports the trial coincides with Season 2, which introduces a new battle pass and continues the narrative with additional free content.
