Duke extends football coach Mike Elko's contract through 2029 after successful first season

Duke extended football coach Mike Elko's contract through the 2029 season after a successful first year.
In his first season, Elko led Duke to a 9-4 record and a Military Bowl win.
The Blue Devils improved from 0-8 to 5-3 in ACC play in Elko's first season.
Elko was named ACC Coach of the Year for Duke's dramatic turnaround in 2022.
Duke also increased the salary pool for assistant coaches and support staff.
