Overview
- The missing man from Langa de Duero was found at around 19:00 on May 30 in the Duero River, roughly two kilometres downstream from the bridge where his disappearance was first reported
- A nephew taking part as a volunteer in the search operation made the discovery
- Authorities deployed agents from the Unidad de Seguridad Ciudadana, GEAS divers, drone flights, motorboats and ground teams in the eight-day effort
- The recovered remains were transferred to the Instituto Anatómico Forense in Zamora for forensic examination
- A separate incident in Almarza saw a 73-year-old man found dead under his vehicle on a rural road and the Guardia Civil is investigating the circumstances of his death
