Duchess of York Champions Breast Cancer Charity's New Imaging Centre

The Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson, has become a patron of Prevent Breast Cancer, a charity planning to build a National Breast Imaging Academy at Wythenshawe Hospital.
The new centre aims to train 50 breast imaging specialists annually and increase screening capacity by 13,000 appointments each year.
Ferguson, who underwent treatment for breast cancer and malignant melanoma, emphasizes the importance of routine mammograms in early detection.
The charity has secured over 80% of the funding needed for the project and is seeking public support to raise the remaining £600,000.
Ferguson was introduced to the charity by Coronation Street actress Sally Dynevor, and both have shared their personal experiences with breast cancer to encourage awareness and support.
