Ducati Launches 2026 Monster V2 in India at Rs 13.99 Lakh

A lighter 890cc V‑twin in a monocoque chassis plus a 45,000 km valve‑check interval signals lower weight and cheaper ownership for Indian buyers.

Overview

  • Ducati launched the fifth‑generation Monster V2 in India on Monday, Aug 10, 2026, with ex‑showroom prices starting at Rs 13.99 lakh for the base Monster and up to Rs 14.45 lakh for the Monster+ livery.
  • The new 890cc V‑twin makes about 111 bhp at 9,000 rpm and 91.1 Nm at 7,250 rpm and is roughly 5.9 kg lighter than the outgoing Testastretta engine, trading small torque loss for a broader usable powerband.
  • A new aluminium monocoque chassis uses the engine as a stressed member and, together with lighter components, cuts the bike’s empty weight to about 175 kg, roughly 4 kg less than before.
  • Ducati lengthened routine service intervals by adopting intake variable timing and non‑desmodromic valve actuation so valve‑clearance checks are needed only every 45,000 km, and it is offering Ducati Protect maintenance plans at Rs 30,999 (2 years/15,000 km) and Rs 54,999 (4 years/30,000 km).
  • The Monster V2 ships with a full electronics suite (6‑axis IMU, four riding modes, cornering ABS, traction and wheelie control, DQS 2.0), two trims (Monster and Monster+), dealer availability across Ducati India’s network, and has won the Red Dot Design Award 2026.
