Dubai Urges Residents to Stay Home as Heavy Rains Flood Roads, Disrupt Flights

Die Polizei in den Vereinigten Arabischen Emiraten hat die Bewohner der Stadt Dubai angesichts heftiger Regenfälle vor dem Verlassen ihrer Häuser gewarnt. Wenige Stunden zuvor war es in der Stadt bereits zu Überschwemmungen gekommen.
Meteorologen und Polizei hatten im Vorfeld vor den heftigen Unwettern gewarnt.
In den Vereinigten Arabischen Emiraten sind wegen starker Regenfälle dutzende Flüge ausgefallen. Allein die Fluglinie Emirates strich 13 Flüge, auch etliche andere Flüge wurden gestrichen oder waren verspätet.
