RTA pairs extended rail operations with targeted bus changes and one‑day customer‑service closures to keep holiday travel moving.

Overview

  • Public parking is free on January 1, 2026, except at multi‑storey facilities and Al Khail Gate N‑365, with regular fees resuming on January 2.
  • Dubai Metro Red and Green lines will operate continuously from 5:00am on December 31 through 11:59pm on January 1.
  • Dubai Tram will run from 6:00am to 11:59pm on December 31 and from midnight to 1:00am on January 1.
  • Intercity bus E100 stops from the afternoon of December 31—last trips at 12:00pm from Abu Dhabi and 2:00pm from Al Ghubaiba—and remains suspended until January 4; passengers should use E101 from Ibn Battuta, while E102 runs from Ibn Battuta from 2:00pm on December 31 until end of day.
  • All Customer Happiness Centres and service provider vehicle‑testing centres close on January 1, while Smart Customer Happiness Areas at Al Barsha, Al Twar, Al Kifaf and RTA headquarters operate 24/7; marine transport timings will be posted on RTA digital channels.
