Overview
- Dubai Metro’s Red and Green lines will run nonstop for 43 hours from 5am on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, to 11:59pm on Thursday, January 1, 2026, with Dubai Tram operating from 6am on December 31 to 1am on Friday, January 2.
- Phased road closures start at 4pm on December 31 across Al Asayel, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard, Burj Khalifa Street, Lower Financial Centre Street and Al Mustaqbal Street, followed by 8pm closure of Al Sukook Street, 9pm closure of Upper Financial Centre Street and a gradual 11pm closure of Sheikh Zayed Road between Al Maidaan and Commercial Centre.
- The Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall Metro Station will close to entry from 5pm on December 31, or earlier if capacity is reached, with riders directed to nearby stations.
- All pedestrian bridges and elevators spanning Dubai Creek will close from 4pm on December 31 to support safety and traffic flow.
- RTA will deploy 5,500+ staff, ten control centres and 26 diversion vehicles, expand parking to about 20,000 spaces near Burj Khalifa plus 8,000 at metro stations, and operate free shuttles and taxi pick-up points at Al Wasl Club and Al Kifaf alongside reinforced fleets of 14,000+ taxis, 18,000+ limousines and 1,300+ buses.
