Overview
- The Work from Park flagship opened on Monday at Al Barsha Pond Park and operates daily from 8am to 8pm with free outdoor desks and paid indoor work areas.
- Visitors can buy a Dh50 day pass for an indoor desk that includes high-speed Wi‑Fi, power sockets and a complimentary coffee while meeting rooms and longer bookings are charged from about Dh200 per hour up to roughly Dh1,200 for a full day.
- The facility was built quickly using off-site modular units by Group AMANA to limit disruption to the park and was assembled on site after six months of design and prep led by Dubai Municipality and Letswork.
- Operators report strong initial interest and a waiting list for fixed desks, and they are collecting user feedback on hours, cooling, pod numbers and other tweaks before deciding whether to expand the model to other parks or beaches.
- The project is meant to blend work, recreation and wellness by linking co‑working with scheduled activities such as yoga and running clubs and by offering a place where parents, freelancers and small businesses can work closer to home.
