- The Roads and Transport Authority opened the 700‑metre, four‑lane bridge on Sunday, August 9, 2026, completing the main traffic layout at the Al Qudra intersection and cutting reported waiting times from about seven minutes to one.
- RTA says the new span raises intersection capacity from roughly 7,800 vehicles per hour to about 19,400 vehicles per hour, allowing more traffic to flow without stopping at the junction.
- The bridge sits on the southern side of the intersection and serves traffic heading toward Al Qudra City, joining the opposite bridge that opened in February to finish the junction’s primary configuration.
