Dubai International Airport Set to Surpass Pre-Pandemic Passenger Numbers

Strong Rebound in Travel Indicated as Airport Expects 86.8 Million Passengers for 2023

Dubai International Airport is on track to surpass its pre-pandemic passenger figures from 2019, indicating a strong rebound in travel post-pandemic.
The airport recorded 64.5 million passengers through the third quarter of this year, and is expected to reach 86.8 million passengers for the full year.
India, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, the U.S., and Russia are the top countries in terms of destinations from Dubai's main airport.
Emirates, the long-haul carrier based at the airport, has announced a $52 billion aircraft purchase with Boeing Co.
The announcement comes during the Dubai Air Show, held at Al Maktoum International Airport, the city-state’s second airfield.
