Overview
- The Roads and Transport Authority extended the taxi-sharing scheme for six months following positive passenger uptake since its launch last year.
- Two new trial locations were added: Al Maktoum International Airport and Dubai World Trade Centre, each with defined routes to key Dubai hubs.
- From Al Maktoum Airport, routes connect to Dubai Marina Mall, Business Bay Metro Station and the Palm Jumeirah – Atlantis Monorail Station.
- From Dubai World Trade Centre, routes connect to Business Bay Metro Station, Al Satwa Bus Station and Dubai Marina Mall.
- The pilot, first run between Ibn Battuta Mall in Dubai and Al Wahda Mall in Abu Dhabi, recorded a 228% increase in riders and continues under a Dh264 total fare split among passengers.
