Overview

• Riders will be barred from the two far-left lanes on roads with five or more lanes and from the leftmost lane on three- or four-lane roads, with no lane limits on one- or two-lane roads.
• First-time lane violations incur a Dh500 fine, a second offence costs Dh700, and a third offence triggers licence suspension.
• Speeding rules for delivery motorcycles on 100 km/h roads carry fines of Dh200 for a first offence, Dh300 for a second, and Dh400 for a third.
• Police reported 854 delivery-related accidents in 2024 and 962 so far in 2025, with violations rising from 70,166 in 2024 to 78,386 in the first nine months of 2025.
• RTA and Dubai Police will deploy prohibitory signs and run awareness campaigns with delivery companies to support enforcement of the updated rules.
