Dubai Airport Projects 100 Million Passengers Within 18 Months

Overview

  • CEO Paul Griffiths said at a Dubai Airshow 2025 briefing that DXB expects to cross the 100 million annual-passenger mark within 18 months.
  • Dubai International handled 92.3 million passengers in 2024, its highest annual total on record.
  • Griffiths projected global passenger traffic at about 9.8 billion in 2025, a 3.7% increase from last year.
  • Dubai Airports announced a plan to make DXB and Al Maktoum International the most accessible airports by 2035, developed with the People of Determination community and supported by a six-story awareness campaign.
  • Longer-term projections outlined by Griffiths include roughly 95.3 million passengers at DXB in 2025 and a phased transition to an expanded Al Maktoum by 2032 to handle around 124 million.
